Braxton is 5 months old!

This past week Braxton turned 5 months old.... anyone else want to freeze time??? He is growing up way to fast. At month five babies don't go to the doctors so we had to weigh and measure him at home. He was a whopping 15.5 lbs and 26 inches long. He has dropped to the 36th percentile in weight so yes those cheeks are deceiving. He is a little boy. So we have started rice cereal to hopefully add some weight!! But as you can tell from the pictures below he likes his bib more than the cereal.

Braxton before we started the cereal

Braxton eating the cereal.... yes those are tears in his eyes
And Braxton's favorite part... eating the bib

Braxton loves listening to Aunt Brandy and Mikayla sing row row row your boat.

And of course I had to fulfill Mikayla's request for more "baby in water" pictures.

Braxton LOVES his jumpie here is a cute video of him talkng then jumping

While Sean and I were making dinner Braxton decided to read his book

Here are a few more cute pictures of the little guy.

Auntie Cory Meets Braxton and Braxton's First Vacation

We have had a busy two weeks. First my best friend Cory came to visit (let's just mention I have lived in Louisville for 10.5 years and she has never come to visit, then I have Braxton and then finally she comes) I try to tell myself it was to visit me but I think she really wanted to meet the new man in my life. Braxton was not easy on her, the first time she went to feed him he freaked out for no apparent reason, but the second time he took it easy on her.
Auntie Cory even got down on the ground and read Braxton a book.... though we couldn't convince her to change a poopie diaper!!! (smart girl don't do that till you have to.)
Of course our little girl got a little jealous and had to have some Auntie Cory time too.
 Yes, Laci was spoiled.

After Cory left the next weekend we took our first "family" vacation a nice long weekend in Gatlinburg, TN with our friends Jim, Jennifer, and Kendall (oh and the dogs). It was an experience to say the least... long story short-  after driving 5 hours we sat in our car for 3 hours waiting to get into our cabin to then be told we would be in another cabin 20mins away. It was a rocky start. Especially since Braxton was starving and had been in the car for over 8 hours.

This was our cabin
Here is a picture of Braxton and one of the very few times he was in his car seat and not crying.
On Saturday we went for a nice "incline" walk up the mountain right by our cabin, it was a strenuous walk ...here is what happened when we got  back to the cabin.

Laci of course had a blast.... she found some grass to roll around in.

This was the view from our bedroom. It was beautiful.
We walked around Gatlinburg on Saturday, here is a cute picture of Kendall posing on a "horse".

It was a very busy but fun two weeks, we enjoyed spending time with our friends. Here are some other pictures of Braxton throughout the last few weeks.

Braxton in his new Jumpie, he just loves this thing.
Just being a cutie... of course one sock on and one sock lost!
He just noticed the box of wipes and now thinks it is his chew toy (that sounded like I was referring to a dog didn't it?)
He  finally realized Laci might be a fun "toy"
Just a cute picture of him the other morning waiting for his bottle
