Braxton's First Visit to Massachusetts

We had a wonderful trip home to Massachusetts over this past Memorial Day weekend. The trip started out pretty rough we were supposed to fly out of Louisville to Detroit to Detroit to Providence. Well we went to the Louisville airport and our flight was canceled so they got us a flight from Cincinnati to Boston instead. So we had to drive to Cincinnati then when we got to Boston, my Aunt Cynthia had to pick us up and drive us to the Providence airport to pick up our rental car. So for one “direct” flight we went to 4 different states and 4 different airports!! (Which equals 12 hours of traveling!!) Braxton did great on the plane though we were very lucky. I will warn you now this is a long blog...we had a busy weekend and took lots of pictures!

On Saturday my dad had a cookout for Braxton so all of his friends and family came to meet Braxton.

Braxton with is "Great" Aunt Beth
Braxton could not get enough of "Great" Uncle Steve's mustache and glasses. He was so cute putting his head on his shoulder.

And of course Braxton loved playing with Lola which we couldn't figure out what exactly they are --second cousins or something like that.

 Braxton is eyeing his cake.

On Sunday we had a very busy day, the start of the day was a very special occasion. It was my best friend Cory’s bridal shower that my dad was nice enough to let us have it at his house. Now for all of you know me I love putting on these kinds of things so I have to show the décor, I think the day was a success Cory was smiling from ear to ear. So mission accomplished!! and yes she was late for her own shower!!
The shower had a beach theme since Cory and Mike are getting married at the beach in Cancun.
Here is one of my favorite things,  this beach picture with the couples name in the sand.
I LOVED LOVED LOVED the cake!!! It come out perfect.
 The dessert table
Here is the candy bar.... blue and white color theme if you can't tell.
 The Beautiful Bride!!
The groom even showed up... Cory and Mike
Auntie FF (Alyssa)  finally meets Braxton...we might be able to get her to Kentucky now that she met Braxton in person... he is hard to stay away from. I mean look at that smile.
The men at the shower talking it up.
Braxton is quite the ladies man... he met Lanie, my friend Ashley's daughter
and he couldn't get enough of her!
Braxton of course had to cuddle with his Auntie Cory
We also took a picture of me and my FF with Braxton ...(by the way FF means First Friend Alyssa and I have been friends since kindergarden)
Here is Braxton after the shower.... "what in the world just happen and where did all those ladies go?"

Our day was not even close to over,  after the shower we were then off to visit with Dowlings... we were so exicted to show off the newest member of the family!
Braxton went right to Uncle Mark - His "Great" Uncle Mark it was adorable.
Of course he played a lot with his Great Aunt Cynthia.
Braxton just loved meeting his Great Aunt Joyce. She spoiled him with some toys he just couldn't put down.
Here is Braxton playing with Jenny, he was showing off a little!
Harrison was trying to show up his newest cousin and play the guitar better than him....
This is one of my favorite picture of the weekend, Braxton playing on the floor at Aunt Cynthia and Uncle Marks house.

On Monday we just hung out at Grampa's house and went swimming in the kiddie pool.
Here is Grampa setting up the pool.

Braxton got ready to swim but was not too sure about the grass.
Just a cute picture of Braxton waiting to go swimming
 Checking out the pool
Braxton looking adorable in the pool.
Here are some cute pictures from the weekend.
Braxton one morning just smiling away, waiting for mom and dad to come get him.
 Braxton playing outside.
Some adorable pictures of Grampa and Braxton!!!

And of course we needed one of Braxton on the plane.
We had a great, fun filled weekend. The weather was perfect and it was so great to see everyone.

Braxton is 7 months... a few weeks ago

Okay so I am a little behind on this post. But Braxton is now 7 months old and is weighing in at a huge 18.5lbs. and is 27.5 inches long. So far this month Braxton has learned how to roll-around everywhere and he is starting to pull himself up. I have a few videos of Braxton to share as well.

First Braxton's 7 month picture

 Braxton playing with his book!
Braxton and Laci nose to nose!

Braxton managed to roll himself over to Laci's toy basket and took one of her toy ropes out.

We found out quickly that Braxton is a determined little boy and might have some acrobatic skills!

Here is a video of Braxton pulling himself up on his little toy ottoman.

I found this one on our camera from when the Broadbent's came to visit and had to put it in.

TEAM BRANDY!!!

Last weekend was a very special weekend. Will and I (TEAM BRANDY) ran the Kentucky Derby Mini Marathon for the DetermiNATION Team for the American Cancer Society. We raised over $17,000. Not only was the race a success but we also got to spend the weekend with the Broadbent’s, Grammy, and Max and Don. Mikayla was beyond cute; she loved playing “babies” with real baby stuff, though sometimes she did not like that Braxton was in his jumpy when “big” wanted to go in there. Yes “big” is Mikayla’s baby’s name.  So needless to say we have some adorable “cousin” picture.

First we will start with the runners!! This is the DetermiNATION team for the race

We had a great pasta dinner the night before the race, Will have a tear jerking speech that made everyone think about why we were running for the American Cancer Society.
Will speaking!
Brandy and Mikayla... look at that smile!
Braxton and Mikayla sitting together, holding hands.

Then it was race day.... our biggest fans

My friend Allison also ran the race
Braxton was all smiles even though we woke him up and made him sit out in the cold all before breakfast.
Our fans walking to watch us run...

Grammy getting into the team spirit

After the race Team Brandy took a great photo..

And my favorite picture of all...

Here are some cute pictures from the weekend.
The first one is Uncle Will and Braxton
We went out for sushi and Braxton was trying to grab Mikayla's chop sticks
Of course Mikayla told him he was too little to play with them.
After the race Mikayla gave "huggies" to Auntie and Grammy
Mikayla was not too sure about Brandy holding Braxton.

 The cousins nose to nose!!
Mikayla loved to help Braxton in the jumpy
