Auntie Cory Meets Braxton and Braxton's First Vacation

We have had a busy two weeks. First my best friend Cory came to visit (let's just mention I have lived in Louisville for 10.5 years and she has never come to visit, then I have Braxton and then finally she comes) I try to tell myself it was to visit me but I think she really wanted to meet the new man in my life. Braxton was not easy on her, the first time she went to feed him he freaked out for no apparent reason, but the second time he took it easy on her.
Auntie Cory even got down on the ground and read Braxton a book.... though we couldn't convince her to change a poopie diaper!!! (smart girl don't do that till you have to.)
Of course our little girl got a little jealous and had to have some Auntie Cory time too.
 Yes, Laci was spoiled.

After Cory left the next weekend we took our first "family" vacation a nice long weekend in Gatlinburg, TN with our friends Jim, Jennifer, and Kendall (oh and the dogs). It was an experience to say the least... long story short-  after driving 5 hours we sat in our car for 3 hours waiting to get into our cabin to then be told we would be in another cabin 20mins away. It was a rocky start. Especially since Braxton was starving and had been in the car for over 8 hours.

This was our cabin
Here is a picture of Braxton and one of the very few times he was in his car seat and not crying.
On Saturday we went for a nice "incline" walk up the mountain right by our cabin, it was a strenuous walk ...here is what happened when we got  back to the cabin.

Laci of course had a blast.... she found some grass to roll around in.

This was the view from our bedroom. It was beautiful.
We walked around Gatlinburg on Saturday, here is a cute picture of Kendall posing on a "horse".

It was a very busy but fun two weeks, we enjoyed spending time with our friends. Here are some other pictures of Braxton throughout the last few weeks.

Braxton in his new Jumpie, he just loves this thing.
Just being a cutie... of course one sock on and one sock lost!
He just noticed the box of wipes and now thinks it is his chew toy (that sounded like I was referring to a dog didn't it?)
He  finally realized Laci might be a fun "toy"
Just a cute picture of him the other morning waiting for his bottle

Braxton is 4 months old

Today we went to Braxton's 4 month apt. He is 15lbs and 24.5 inches so he is still growing like weed. He took his shots like a champ and only cried a little but hugging mommy made him feel better.

Here is an adorable 4 month picture. I finally got a monthy picture of him smiling

Braxton doing some tummy time on daddy.
Braxton started playing with his Christmas gift from Nonnie and Granddad.... he looks so small in it.

Here is our little GAP baby....think he could get a modeling job???

Mommy and Daddy had some fun and put Braxton in his hamper! We knew it would be a cute picture.

Braxton is becoming Mr. Independent and now wants to feed himself.

Braxton is more like his mom then he thought... he likes to read in the tub too....

Braxton has finally realized that there is water outside his little tub chair....

Here is Braxton's first "peek a boo" experience...

Video's of the Kiddo!

Well I figured I always post photos and occasionally post video so I thought I would post some cute video's that I have taken over the last few weeks. It seems as though Braxton is growing and changing every day. So here are some moments of him doing his “new” things and of course talking!

This one is of Braxton going on a talking spree....

Braxton learned how to play with his toys....

This is Braxton watching football.... I think we are in trouble when he starts to move... those legs don't stop.

Okay the last one... this is Braxton trying to turn over... he is almost there.

Braxton is 3 months old....

Today Braxton is officially 3 months old. Since babies do not go to the doctors at three months we have some unofficial stats for him.... he measured 24 inches and 13lbs. today. This is one inch longer than last month and 1.5 lbs. heavier.

We have not done very much since our Christmas blog so I have just some random pictures of Braxton from the last two weeks.
Here are a few pictures from when Grammy and Gramps were still here

Here is Braxton celebrating a new year...

Here is Braxton showing off in his Bumbo seat

Braxton showing off his new Patriots PJ's (thanks to Aunt Beth!)

Braxton doing some tummy time, I just think they are cute pictures.

Braxton has finally conquered grabbing things; he loves his links and anything that hangs down.

Just a cute picture of Braxton and Daddy

Just last night we had a family get together with Sean's family and Braxton's second cousin Lauren Just loved holding him.

Here is a video of Braxton cheering on the Louisville Cardinals....yes I let him cheer for someone other than the pats. (only because it's college)

Braxton's First Christmas!

First of all for everyone who has facebook  you have seen a few of these pictures already

Braxton had a wonderful first Christmas, we started off the holiday season with making our very first gingerbread house. It was a somewhat fun experience.

After Grammy and Gramps visited Mikayla in Florida they drove to good old Kentucky to celebrate with us. On Christmas eve Nonnie and Granddad came over for a nice dinner, presents, and a bowling Wii tournament....which Sean did win.
Gramps was telling stories to Braxton, we are not sure if Braxton knows how to interpret the English accent...it did confuse Laci.

Braxton is checking out his new toy

Daddy and his little man
Christmas morning was full of excitement, Braxton was a good boy he slept in till 8:00am and made it through the stockings but then fell asleep during the opening of the gifts but woke up again to see everything Santa brought him.  And when we woke up that morning there was actaully snow ...so it was Braxton's first white Christmas!
The first picture of the morning... Braxton in front of the tree
The McEwen Family's first Christmas morning
 Braxton's First Stocking
Daddy and Braxton waiting to open the stockings
And of course we opened Laci's stocking first so she could play with her toys while we opened our gifts

The first "Santa" gift, yes it's a walker...incase you  didn't know Braxton is an over achiever and doesn’t want to wait till he is a year old to walk
After opening all his gifts, we realized just how spoiled our little guy is.
Braxton fell in love with the signing Rudolph the red nose reindeer
After all the excitement, Braxton wanted to cuddle with his mommy and of course there were no complaints from mommy.
Grammy couldn't resist getting on the floor and playing with her little grand baby
And some tummy time of course
After a long day Braxton snuggled up on mommy and took a little nap

Well I tried to download a video of Braxton talking to Grammy but for some reason it wont work. I will try it on another post.
