Braxton's One Month Old!

Well I cannot believe today Braxton is 4 weeks old. Everyone told me time would fly but this is ridiculous, my little baby is officially out of newborn diapers and clothes. We went for his one month doctors apt yesterday and our little chunky monkey gained 2lbs in 3 weeks and grew 1.25 inches. He did surprisingly well with his shot, he let out a little cry and then was done.... that made it easier on mommy.

Over the last few weeks some things have been getting easier... sleep is not one of them... but bath time is!!

Braxton has finally learned that baths are relaxing

I think that is even a smile!!

Braxton even made a new friend...

I couldn't resist another tummy time video... mommy is not good at the camera yet but you can still see Braxton in action.

Here are some other pictures of Braxton from the week.
This was supposed to be tummy time but someone got a little too comfortable lying on his belly. But you have to love the monkey on the butt.

Braxton is afraid he might lose his pacifier so he has learned to hold it.

Sleeping on mommy... what a cutie.

This week Grampa Bill and Uncle Eddie come to visit so we will have some great pictures next week!!

Braxton's First Halloween!!

Well we all know that a three week old baby had no idea what Halloween is, let alone what the deal is with dressing up. Lucky for Braxton he is beyond spoiled and got many different Halloween outfits to wear in the last three weeks… and I must say they are adorable.

If you can't tell from the pictures, Braxton loves his pacifier, which means mommy and daddy love the pacifier too!!!

Of course it's not Halloween without a costume so what in the world can a 3 week old dress up as....a puppy!!

What a cute little puppy!!
Well I had to add a few pictures that I took over the last few weeks not Halloween related.

Had to have a diaper shot!
Just Braxton being cute!

Week One & Week Two

Well now that Braxton is two weeks old we are pros at being parents!! (If it were only that easy.) Luckily Grammy stayed for two weeks and helped us with everything... the long nights, the dirty diapers, and even some shopping trips. A lot happened during his first two weeks….

Our first day home we wanted Laci to get to know Braxton... we knew she would have a hard time sharing her mommy and daddy with her little brother... She had such a problem the vet diagnosed her with "Braxton Induced" stress. ( I am not even kidding, she was on meds and everything.)
During Braxton's first few days Gramps was here too and we got a great picture of Grammy, Gramps and Braxton... look at those chicken legs!
Of course during Grammy's two week stay she spent alot of time admiring her new grandson...

Laci was a little jealous of all the attentions Grammy was giving Braxton, can you tell?

Also during the first two weeks Braxton had his first bath.... lets just say it didn't go as smooth (or calm) as we thought it would. He HATED it.

And of course during his first two week were his first two Patriots games.... both of them were very very close games but Braxton brought them baby luck and so far the Pats are 2-0 since Braxton was born.

And our family Patriots picture!!

Also at the end of his second week we started Tummy Time so here is a video of Braxton showing off how strong he is.

Now here are just some other cute pictures of him. (At least I think they are cute!)

Welcome Braxton Sean McEwen

After 39 weeks and 4 days our "little man" has finally arrived on October 9, 2010 at 9:37pm. We finally decided on a name, so Braxton it is!! He was 7lbs. 6oz. and 20 inches long. Braxton was easy on me and came after 5.5 hours of labor.
Here are some of the first pictures of Braxton. . . .

Our first family picture!

We had many guests at the hospital, even Grammy and Gramps made the drive from North Carolina in time for the delivery.

"Little Man's" Louisville Shower

In mid –august “Little Man” had his 4th and final shower. I can’t imagine anything else this little baby could possibly need. Grammy flew in from North Carolina to join in the festivities. (Sean and I are just figuring it out, if we want people to visit us in Kentucky we have to bribe them with a baby!)

We had a blast at the shower here are some pictures of all the people who came to celebrate!
The "Cousins"
Jennifer and Kendall (our adorable god-daughter)
Me, Amber, and Kristen (Amber is exepecting a little boy in a few months too)
Angie, Lauren, and me
Blair, Sara, and little Trey (which by the way Trey was a lady's man that day, he was the only male in the house!)

The Dean Dorton Ford and former Dean Dorton Ford Table!!
And the BKD girls!

Now that you have seen all the people who came to celebrate the arrival of "Little Man" now it's time for the gifts and let me tell you there were a lot of them.

Here is a picture of "Little Man's" grandmothers

Me and Grammy

And of course we had cake... everyone knows how much I love cake.
And here are my great friends who threw the shower for me (Jennifer and Allison) … they did an amazing job, it was perfect.
Yes we planned the bright colored shirts... just kidding.

At the end of the day my mom and I went home and went through everything that "Little Man" received and did a final count on diapers…. I got over 1600 diapers… we are hoping that lasts more than a month!!

Well there is exactly one month until "Little Man" is due so hopefully my next post will be the first pictures of him. We are excited and can't beleive it's so close. People keep telling me they think watching the Patriots will put me into early labor.... I guess we will just have to wait and see. Stay tuned!!!
